Princess Anne Curtsies at Queen Elizabeth’s mother’s coffin in emotional moment

The royal family continues to honor Queen Elizabeth II after her death on Thursday, as her daughter Princess Anne put on an emotional display this weekend.

Princess Anne, who stood alongside Prince Andrew, her husband, Rear Admiral Timothy Lawrence, and others in Edinburgh, ran past her mother’s coffin as it entered the Palace of Holyroodhouse on Sunday. The coffin left Balmoral Castle at around 10am. GMT on Sunday and traveled to London decorated with flowers and draped in the Royal Standard of Scotland.

The palace, which he entered while being greeted by Her Majesty’s family, will house the coffin overnight before it travels down Edinburgh’s Royal Mile to St. Mary’s Cathedral. Giles on Monday. The hearse carrying the coffin was transparent at the back, allowing the public to see the coffin as it was draped with the Royal Standard of Scotland.

While the casket traveled, PEOPLE confirmed Sunday that Her Majesty’s beloved corgis will have a new home after her death, staying with the Duke and Duchess of York — Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, aka Fergie .

“The corgis will return to live at Royal Lodge with the Duke and Duchess. It was the Duchess who found the puppies, which were given to Her Majesty by the Duke,” said one of the Duke’s inner circle.

Fergie and Andrew, who still live together at their family home in Windsor despite their 1996 divorce, will house the two corgis, a breed Queen Elizabeth has had since she was just 7 years old.

According to the source, Fergie had “bonded with Her Majesty for dog walking and horse riding and even after her divorce, she would continue her great friendship with Her Majesty, walking the dogs at Frogmore and chatting”.
