Anna Kendrick goes with the flow.
Over the weekend, the 37-year-old got “stuck in an elevator” before heading to the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday. But instead of panicking or worrying about being late to her event, the “Pitch Perfect” star made light of the situation on social media.
The actress posted a light-hearted video on Instagram of herself and her companions in an elevator stuck in a confined space. Just before, Kendrick was on her way to attend the premiere of her movie, “Alice, Darling,” at Roy Thompson Hall.
“Ah, the classic ‘I’m behind schedule at this film festival because I had to be rescued from an elevator,'” she captioned alongside the hashtag “#TIFF22.”
In the video, Kendrick poked fun at the situation: “That’s why I shouldn’t leave the house without at least a small bottle the size of an airplane because you never know when you’re going to get stuck in an elevator.”
She also joked about how she and her crew had to “subsist on the limited food supply we have.”
“We’re just vibing in the elevator… we love it,” the actress added.
Later in the video, firefighters from Toronto Fire Station 331 rushed to help the trapped people, who had to climb a ladder to get out of the elevator through the roof hatch.
“That’s why I should take the stairs next time…it’s all the food I ate last night, I knew it,” Kendrick said after looking at the stairs. “I can’t believe this is happening… Are you kidding me?”
The budding producer ended her video by sharing photos of the correspondents and thanked them for their help.
“I’m in love with every single one of you,” the starlet told the firefighters. “Thanks guys!”
In the comments, fans expressed their concern about the ordeal, but were happy that everyone made it out safely.
“I’m getting claustrophobic just looking at it!” one follower commented.
“Being stuck in an elevator with Anna Kendrick honestly sounds like a dream come true,” shared another.
“This is hilarious. Way to stay brave and funny,” added one fan.
“Wow this is legit,” wrote another. “Great atmosphere though!”
Luckily, Kendrick arrived at the premiere in time – and stunned fans in a stunning yellow mini dress that stopped just above her knees.
The strapless dress featured a fitted bodice and skirt, which she accessorised with strappy yellow heels and dangling gold earrings.
For glam, the “Twilight” alum wore her hair in a tousled ponytail, while her smoldering eyes were lined with black eyeshadow.
The brunette beauty smiled and waved to fans as she walked the red carpet.
According to the film’s official synopsis, Kendrick plays Alice, who “gets trapped in an abusive relationship” and “becomes the unwitting participant in an intervention orchestrated by her two friends.”
Charlie Carrick plays her boyfriend Simon in the film, which also stars Kaniehtiio Horn and Wunmi Mosaku. The film premiered on TIF on Sunday night.
