Third quarter

7:05 left: Another big play up the middle, this time to Treylon Burks for 27 yards. The Titans lead.

7:52 left: Kyle Philips picks up 20 yards up the middle on a great throw by Ryan Tannehill.

8:48 left: It’s a new game at Nissan Stadium. Sterling Shepard’s 65-yard reception on a Kristian Fulton fumble. Titans 13, Giants 13.

9:44 left: Dodrell Hilliard drops to third and the Titans will punt. The Giants now outscore Tennessee.

11:16 left: Saquon Barkley scores a 5-yard touchdown. The Giants have a bad position on the extra point, so the Titans lead 13-6.

12:45 left: Saquon Barkley is free. He sprints down the sideline, with Kevin Byard picking him up at the Titans’ 22. A 68-yard run.

That came after a fake snap by Derrick Henry in wildcat formation on third-and-short and a huge punt by Ryan Stonehouse.

14:00 left: Taylor Lewan stops on first down and Dennis Daley is at left tackle.

Second quarter

HALF TIME: Titans 13, Giants 0

16 seconds left: Every time the Giants offense has a positive play, something bad happens. Jeffery Simmons holds on a screen for Saquon Barkley. The Giants’ last drive of the first half is blocked.

1:05 left: Titans drive stalls at midfield, with Tannehill’s third down shot incomplete in tight coverage.

2:26 left: Derrick Henry over right guard for 18 yards. His first long run of the day.

3:03 left: Ryan Tannehill goes down the left sideline for a first down.

4:09 left: Kevin Strong makes a tackle on a third down pass from Daniel Jones. The Giants offense is terrible, at least so far. Tennessee can make it a three-point game with scoring points heading into halftime.

7:00 left: Randy Bullock for another goal. This, from 23 yards, is good. Titans 13, Giants 0. Titans have 14 pass attempts, nine rushes.

9:11 left: A defensive penalty gives the Titans a first down on a short third down gain. Tannehill then rolls right and finds Cody Hollister down the sideline for 22 yards. Titans threaten again.

10:00 left: Jeffery Simmons strips on blindside and Bud Dupree recovers the ball in Giants territory. The Titans defense looks good.

11:55 left: Saquon Barkley’s first touchdown is a 15-yard carry up the right sideline. If the Giants have a chance today, he should make it count.

12:39 left: Ryan Tannehill is hit while throwing and his third down pass is incomplete. Randy Bullock’s 46-yarder is good. Titans 10, Giants 0.

14:44 left: Dontrell Hilliard is open at third. He’s in Giants territory on a 31-yard catch-and-run.

First quarter

End of first quarter: Derrick Henry has six carries for 20 yards. Not much light yet. The Titans lead 7-0.

41 seconds left: It sure looked like a Giants defensive back had every bit of Treylon Burks on a deep ball that fell incomplete. Wow.

3:39 left: Jeffery Simmons sack. Bud Dupree might get half a sack.

4:25 left: Rashad Weaver TFL on a Daniel Jones zone read.

4:30 left: Ryan Stonehouse with a good point but a decent return and NYG will settle into their 40.

6:19 left: The Giants are not falling on the field so far. After a first drop, NYG will bet.

9:48 left: The Dontrell Hilliard touchdown reception is the first Titans touchdown of 2022. Bet you didn’t have that on the betting card. Plus grade good. Titans 7, Giants scoreless.

10:28 left: Ryan Tannehill rolls left, finds Treylon Burks on the sideline. The Titans are the first and the target.

12:48 left: Three runs and a Giants three and out. Kyle Philips then breaks off a punt return 46 yards into New York territory. It’s Kyle Philips season!

15:00 left: It’s been a fun day in the NFL so far. The Titans win the toss and will postpone. Daniel Jones and the Giants will have the ball first.

Some pre-game reading and notes:

Two young Giants pass rushers are out for today’s game. Complete inactive here.

It wasn’t a clean sweep, but the vast majority of our experts believe the Titans will win on Sunday.
