A 21-year-old Canadian TikTok influencer from Toronto has died after a tragic skydiving accident.

On August 27, Tanya Pardazi was skydiving at Skydive Toronto when she fell to her death.

The paratrooper facility said in a statement via Facebook that “The parachutist released a rapidly rotating main parachute at low altitude without the time/altitude required to inflate the reserve parachute.”

Although he did not name the parachutist, he has since been identified as Pardazi, a philosophy student at the University of Toronto, according to CTV. Pardazi was also a TikTok influencer with over 95,000 followers.

She had just finished her solo lesson at Skydive Toronto and the fatal fall marked her first time jumping alone, according to CTV.

“She really lived every second to the fullest,” her friend Melody Ozgoli said in the report. “This is the biggest shock for us. It’s very hard to process. It’s been a few days but we still can’t believe it.”

Kimia Sepanlou, another friend, called Pardazi “one of the bravest girls. Whenever we saw her, we knew we were in for an adventure because she didn’t like to let herself or those closest to her get bored. Everyone she met she thought the world of her.”
